WorldWinds runs a daily algorithm compositing the latest available pixel of near realtime Aqua/MODIS Ocean Color into a cloud-free composite of oceanic chlorophyll concentration. The composite is conducted on a 2 kilometer grid encompassing most of the North-West Atlantic basin. The data is updated within 15 minutes of Aqua's pass over a direct broadcast receiving station. Below is an example plot of the most recent composite.
